Amary Farm is an organic no-till market garden based in Lincombe, North Devon.
The farm produces a range of seasonal produce, vegetables, herbs, fruits and cut flowers using agroecological and agroforestry practices.
We draw inspiration for our farm from many different places and people especially organic no till market gardeners such as Elliot Coleman, Jean Martin Fortier and Charles Dowding. We also get our inspiration from permaculture practices, food forests and other peoples projects such as Stefan Sobkowiak’s permaculture orchard.
We aim to create a biodiverse and ecological small scale human powered farm showing that you can produce productive yields of annual vegetables, fruits, herbs, cut flowers and medicinal plants, whilst increasing biodiversity of habitat for animals and insects.
We are proud to have started our Soil Association certification, these standards ensure we grow our produce to high standards, reducing exposure to pesticides and protecting our wildlife.
Which ever culture you look at the meaning of Amary (or Amari) it means - eternal, immortal, everlasting so it was very fitting for our sustainable ethics we practice on thefarm.
